

Select the text content that you want to center, and then click Center icon under the Home tab in Paragraph group, see screenshot: 2. To put the text content on the middle of the page, please do as this: 1. This extra spacing before or after affects the centering in the same way that paragraph indents affect horizontal spacing. Center the text content vertically and horizontally in Word document. You should note that vertical centering will not give the desired results if you have the paragraph formatting for the text set to anything except single spacing, with no space before or after the paragraph. Thats all tables are, after all-simply a grid arranged into columns and rows. If you hover the mouse pointer over the Align Center tool, you see a ToolTip appear that explains that the tool centers text both horizontally and vertically within the cell. If youve ever seen a spreadsheet, or used a program such as Excel, then youre probably pretty familiar with tables.

In the Alignment group, click one of the three vertical centering tools. With the graphic selected or the insertion point otherwise located within the cell that contains the graphic, click the Align Center tool, which is in the Alignment group.(This tab is visible only after doing step 1.) Position the insertion point within the cell you want to vertically center.Make sure your whole table is selected then set the line spacing to 1.0 in that little box mentioned above. You can do this in the Home menu and then click the little box see highlighted below. Whichever option youll choose, it will change the alignment of text within the selected shape. Centering text vertically is almost as easy: Click to access a drop-down menu (see Figure 3 ). All you need to do is position the insertion point somewhere within the text and then click on the Center button on the Home tab of the ribbon or press Ctrl+E. There are two ways to center information: horizontally and vertically.
